The fourth and final round of the Dirt Action Northern AMCROSS Series is to be fought out at the Inverell Motorsports Complex, on the Ashford RD this weekend (August 30 - 31).
An exciting day of non-stop natural terrain motocross action will be able to be seen right from the word go as Junior and Senior riders take to the track on Sunday with excess of 150 riders expected to compete.
Inverell Motorcycle Club member Mark Turner said AMCROSS was a special competition and Inverell was excited to be hosting the final round.
"AMCROSS is a natural terrain motorcross series with men and women competing in juniors and seniors so there is a real family focus, with the whole family able to compete on the same day.
"The series is suitable for riders of all capabilities and with classes from 7-year-old to over 45s everyone can have a go."
Other rounds in the AMCROSS series have been held at Kyogle, Grafton and Tamworth with riders expected from these centres as well as Moree, Goondiwindi, Bingara and Armidale.
There will be a number of Inverell riders competing on the day, hoping to add more points to their scores from previous rounds.
All classes will endure three 10 minute races plus one lap, the most successful rider throughout the day in each class will be declared the overall round winner.
Trophies are to be awarded for the top three placegetters overall in each class.
The Northern AMCROSS Series final round is to begin after sign on from 7:30-8:30 and practise at 8:45, spectators are more than welcome to come and watch with a gold coin donation at the gate going to local charities.
